It’s This One Thing that’s got me..

What I’ve heard:
I have problem X… but God has a plan. Quote: Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
What I’ve seen us do after quoting:
Nothing. No research done pertaining a possible solution. No planning concerning how to solve X.
What runs through my head:
Prov 19:21: “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”
– So, these plans should exist though, right? Meaning I SHOULD PLAN
Ecc 11:6: “Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.”
– So, I shouldn’t sit idle, solely waiting for a miracle. I should do some groundwork, planting seeds and praying that God’s perfect plan prevails (Proverbs 19:21) and that one of my hustles produce fruit.
Conclusion: PLANNING AND SCATTERING MUST HAPPEN
Some people call it hustling, I call it living the way God planned it to be. We were never meant to toil. This curse came upon man when he sinned in the Garden of Eden. We were, however, made to work. The blessing was cultivating the land, bringing produce and fruitfulness. Hard work combined with perfect communion with the Father brought life, and now we have a second chance, through Christ.
“If nothing changes, nothing changes”
– Albert Eistein
I believe in cause and effect – give, and it will be given to you (Luke 6:38), seek and you will find (Matt 7:7), and just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise (Luke 6:31).
I also believe in grace, God’s enabling power to do all that we need to fulfill His will.
So, if we want our lives to change somehow, then something in our actions will have to change too. ‘Fake it till you make it’ and ‘dress for the job you want’ vibes have a lot of truth in them. However, we must realize that the power to do these things lies not in our own understanding and awesome powers, but in God’s. Having said that, though, realizing our weaknesses and resting in God doesn’t give us the go-ahead to sit and be IDLE. Just as His grace does not give us right to sin.
In essence, because God wants you to prosper He will help you DO the right things, SAY the right words, CONNECT to the right people, PLAN exceptionally, & GROW your skills & talents. It is His will to have you work and work hard and well.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.
– Ecclesiastes 9:10 New King James Version (NKJV)
